“SKILLS FOR TRANSITION”

The public meeting scheduled before the Ordinary General Meeting of the Lombardy Mobility Cluster hosted at the Liceo Scientifico Internazionale Guido Carli in Brescia was dedicated to the topic.
In his opening remarks, Cluster President Saverio Gaboardi recalled that as a result of the current transition, one-third of employees will change product and process, another third will change process; all will have to learn new digital languages and adapt operational and relational behaviors accordingly.
After greetings from Chiara Musatti, director of the AIB Training Center, and Andrea Bernesco Lavore, Principal of the Liceo Guido Carli, speakers included:

  • Prof. Giordano Lanzanova, head of the vocational tracks on vehicle maintenance and repair at the AIB Training Center in Castel Mella, who very effectively explained the programs in place (see Lanzanova presentation);
  • Natural Science Prof. Davide Scaglia, from Liceo Guido Carli, who, based on an appreciated analysis of the most promising renewable fuels, highlighted the usefulness for students to learn about the industrial spin-offs of scientific knowledge early on (see Scaglia presentation.)

This was followed by a tour of the Liceo’s laboratories; the image reproduced refers to theSTEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) approach, an interdisciplinary educational method that integrates science disciplines with art and creativity that aims to develop critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration, preparing students for real challenges through active, laboratory-based learning, combining rationality and creative thinking.
