Composite materials for Automotive represent an important opportunity, contributing to thelightweighting of vehicles with both thermal power train–also variously hybridized–and electric. The Lombardy Mobility Cluster through its Materials Working Group supports initiatives related to lightweighting and composite materials by sponsoring the event “JEC Forum Italy 2025.” organized by JEC, the organization entirely dedicated to the promotion of composite materials and their applications on a global level, which was founded in 1965 with the 1st European Conference in Paris on composite materials ( precisely the “Journees Europeennes des Composites,” from which the organization takes its name), with the support of Assocomposites, since 2005 the reference association of the composite materials sector in Italy, a supporting member of the Lombard Mobility Cluster.

The event, in its second edition, brings together the Italian composites communitỳ June 11-12, 2025 in the enchanting setting of Lake Como, at Villa Erba in Cernobbio, organizing itself in three key moments:

  1. Business meetings (planned through a digital matchmaking platform available to all participants prior to the event);
  2. Technical conferences organized by Assocomposites and workshops organized by suppliers;
  3. Innovation promoted through the second edition of JEC Composites Startup Booster in Italy, the most important startup competition in the world of composites and advanced materials.

Participation in the event is limited to 500 people and subject to accreditation; once accredited, access to the digital matchmaking platform and the event, as well aś to the lectures and networking evening will be allowed.
