“The Future of Mobility in Europe: Combining Decarbonization, Competitiveness, and European Industrial Excellence” – Confindustria and the European Parliament

The event, organized by Confindustria in collaboration with ANFIA and Confindustria Energia, will provide an important opportunity for discussion on the future of the European automotive industry in the context of the revision of the regulatory framework on CO2 emissions from light-duty vehicles, which was presented by the European Commission last December and is currently under review by the European Parliament. In particular, the discussion will focus on the challenges and opportunities associated with achieving European climate goals, while safeguarding Europe’s industrial competitiveness, innovation, and technological leadership. The event will also explore the potential of renewable and sustainable fuels in the decarbonization of mobility, fostering constructive dialogue among industry, policymakers, and European stakeholders.

The initiative aims to provide an opportunity for open and substantive discussion on future policy decisions that will affect one of the strategic sectors of the European economy.
