Conference “Let’s talk about the sea: the sea that moves industry” – Milan

June 22 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

On June 22 at 9:30 a.m., the free conference “Let’s talk about the sea: the sea that moves industry” will be held in Milan at the Assolombarda headquarters, organized by the Department for Sea Policies of the Prime Minister’s Office in collaboration with Confindustria and Assolombarda.

The event represents an important moment of confrontation between Representatives of Institutions and Companies on two pivotal themes of the relationship between sea economy and industry: that of energy and that of logistics. The objective is to highlight the opportunities and conditions for the development of the energy and logistics sectors that, through the “sea,” allow our production system to be competitive in international markets.

In particular, the first session is dedicated to the relationship between sea and energy, highlighting how much of the energy for the Italian production system comes from maritime infrastructure. Discussions among industry players will highlight the link between security of supply, industrial competitiveness and enhancement of the country’s maritime dimension.

The second session focuses on value chains and the strategic role of sea routes for supplies and markets, highlighting how ports are integrated industrial platforms and crucial to the competitiveness of the Italian production system.

A program for the event is attached.
