C2Future - Clusters for the City of the Future.

The project has a duration of 24 months and aims, as an overall objective, to implement a strategic partnership between clusters in the areas of mobility, construction, utilities and environment, promoting a series of activities among its SME associates aimed at internationalization towards some target countries (USA, MEXICO, COLOMBIA). The first of these activities is a survey and mapping of skills among SMEs, which will be the first step toward achieving C2Future’s goals:

– Strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs-members of clusters partners;

– Create a new value chain in the field of smart urbanization/smart cities;

– Support and facilitate the ability of SMEs to interact with international partners;

– Implement a common internationalization strategy and roadmap.

An additional activity to map the services/products offered by the companies and their competencies includes filling out a short questionnaire available at the following link:

The data collected will be included in the C2Future website where you will find all activities and events:

This is the third in a series of online events under the Clusters for the City of the Future (C2Future) project. On this occasion, we were part of the 2021 edition of the World Manufacturing Forum in Cernobbio, Lake Como. The objective of this event was to provide some useful information on internationalization in the target countries of Canada, Colombia, Mexico and the U.S., both from institutional stakeholders (Chambers of Commerce) and private companies through personal experience.

B2B meetings were held throughout the week (Oct. 18-22), before and after the event, and gave cluster companies the opportunity to meet other companies from the target countries. The event made it possible to:

– Find out more about the C2Future project and planned activities.

– Learn about opportunities for cooperation between institutional bodies and companies.

– Hear some advice on the path to internationalization.

– Hear some of the examples of best practices from SMEs.

– Meet companies from 6 clusters from Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece.

– Meet companies from the rest of the world and target countries.

The official language of the event was English. The event was recorded and available for streaming. The slides are available at the following link: https://worldmanufacturing.org/activities/world-manufacturing-week-2021/presentations/
