2026 GENERAL ASSEMBLY: “From the Right to Vote to the Right to Start a Business: Women, Representation, and the New Generations in Today’s Italy” – CONFARTIGIANATO IMPRESE BRESCIA AND EASTERN LOMBARDY

From the right to vote to the right to start a business: this is the theme chosen forthe 2026 General Assembly of Confartigianato Imprese Brescia e Lombardia Orientale, scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, starting at 5:30 p.m. ,in the auditorium at the headquarters located at Via Orzinuovi 28, in Brescia.

Eighty years after women gained the right to vote, this event will provide an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between participation, representation, business, and the younger generations, with a focus on the role of women in society, in institutions, and in the business world. This is not a superficial celebration, but a substantive discussion of what has been achieved and what still needs to be built.

Following the official remarks by Anna Chiti Batelli, Deputy Prefect of Brescia, and Emanuele Moraschini, President of the Province of Brescia, and Simona Tironi, Regional Councilor for Education, Training, and Employment , the presentation by Eugenio Massetti, president of Confartigianato Brescia and Lombardy, prior to the discussion—moderated by Carlo Piccinato, secretary general of Confartigianato Brescia and Lombardy— with the participation of theActress Maria Grazia Cucinotta, by Rep. Mara Carfagna , Member of the Italian Parliament; Mariateresa Vivaldini, Member of the European Parliament and mayor of Pavone del Mella; Laura Castelletti, mayor of Brescia; Elisa Chiaf, mayor of Borgosatollo; and Mariavittoria Rusca, mayor of Fontevivo—the youngest mayor in Italy—and Emilio Del Bono, Vice President of the Lombardy Regional Council.
