Our associate Eni – Enilive, which is dedicated to mobility products and services, is participating in the Tour d’Europe, an initiative during which several light and heavy vehicles travel through 20 European countries with the objectives of demonstrating the potential of fuels from renewable raw materials and raising awareness among the public and policy makers about the role of these energy carriers in the path to decarbonization of the transportation sector, which can be successfully achieved if all available solutions are used, according to the principle of technology neutrality.
The Tour d’Europe involves companies, associations and institutions from the automotive and fuel supply chain including Enilive, among the leaders in the production of HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), and academic institutions. HVO is a diesel biofuel made from 100 percent renewable raw materials*-primarily waste, such as waste cooking oils and animal fats, and residues from the agri-food industry-that can be used by validated engines and is distributed through existing infrastructure.
The Milan leg of the Tour d’Europe, scheduled for Monday, May 19, will be held at the Palazzo di Regione Lombardia.
Present for the Cluster will be President Dr. Saverio Gaboardi and Development Manager Eng. Piersandro Trevisan.
