9th Annual “Lombardia è Ricerca” International Award – Research Day in Memory of Umberto Veronesi

The ninth edition of the Lombardy Region’s Research Day will be held on November 10, 2026, at La Scala in Milan.

The event, organized by the Lombardy Region in collaboration with the Umberto Veronesi Foundation and dedicated to the memory of the Milanese scientist, aims to highlight the strategic importance of research and innovation for the development and well-being of the Lombardy region.

The highlight of the ceremony is the presentation of the “Lombardia è Ricerca” International Prize, worth one million euros, which this year is dedicated to significant research in the field of preventive medicine based on artificial intelligence and big data.

Throughout the day, awards are also presented to the creators of the best innovations submitted by high school students and students in vocational education and training programs as part of the “Lombardia è Ricerca” Award for schools.
