“Autonomous Driving: From Testing to a New Form of Mobility. Technologies, Regulations, and Impacts for Integration into Transportation Systems” – Rome

Self-driving vehicles are rapidly moving from the experimental stage to reality, posing new technological, regulatory, and social challenges.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation, the conference “Autonomous Driving: From Testing to a New Form of Mobility. Technologies, Regulations, and Impacts for Integration into Transportation Systems ” Jointly organized on October 14 in Rome by TTS Italia, MOST, and PAVE Europe, the event was created with the goal of stimulating and strengthening the debate in Italy on the future of autonomous mobility, fostering dialogue among public policymakers, cities, industry, the research community, and civil society.
The event will provide a forum for discussion on the key issues related to the integration of autonomous vehicles in the Italian and European contexts: safety, public trust, the role of data and artificial intelligence, urban impacts, and governance.
Through real-world examples, pilot projects, and multi-stakeholder perspectives, the event aims to go beyond technology, exploring how autonomous driving can make a tangible contribution to more sustainable, inclusive, and people-centered mobility.
This is a free event, open to the public upon registration.
