Conference organized by Federmetano, <\/b>Friday, November 8, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in attendance <\/strong>in the Mimosa Room – Hall B6 <\/strong>at Fiera Ecomondo, Rimini Expo Centre.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The central theme of Federmetano’s conference will be biomethane<\/strong>: a renewable fuel produced through the reuse of waste, residues and refuse that is CO2-neutral and can make an even greater contribution to the decarbonization of transportation than it is already doing now.<\/p>\n

Traditionally Made in Italy<\/em> biofuel, it can be used without any modifications to vehicles powered by fossil methane and can be transported and dispensed from the infrastructure present throughout Italy, including islands. A distribution network that excels in Europe and can now also count on the implementation of self-service.<\/p>\n

The year 2024 represents a milestone on the path to decarbonization of Italy’s natural gas autotraction: given the potential production capacity of the more than one hundred biomethane production plants for autotraction that have come into operation from 2018 to date, the total replacement of fossil natural gas with the bio product is expected this year. Benefits and potential of using this biofuel in transportation will be explained by key stakeholders<\/em> in the industry.<\/p>\n
