Increasingly connected and intelligent vehicles\, advanced digital infrastructure and integrated services are creating a complex but vulnerable ecosystem:  \n\nConnected vehicles and assisted driving systems constantly communicate with infrastructure and other vehicles (V2X). This continuous connectivity exposes systems to risks of cyber attacks\, such as hacking\, data manipulation\, or attacks on control systems \n\n\nCybersecurity must act at multiple levels to protect user data\, and the integrity and security of driving systems and connected devices\n\n\nA cyber attack can jeopardize the physical safety of people and the protection of goods\n\n\nIt is critical that industries\, governments\, and regulators work together to create common security standards and share threat information.\n\nThe digital transformation of mobility represents a great opportunity\, but also a complex cybersecurity challenge. The objective is to highlight the opportunities and conditions for the development of the energy and logistics sectors that\, through the “sea\,” allow our production system to be competitive in international markets.  \nIn particular\, the first session is dedicated to the relationship between sea and energy\, highlighting how much of the energy for the Italian production system comes from maritime infrastructure. SUMMARY:COURSE ON COMPOSITE MATERIALS AND PROCESSING TECHNOLOGIES
DESCRIPTION:New course on composite materials\, organized by our member CSMT Innovation Hub with faculty from theUniversity of Brescia\, with focus on polymer matrix materials reinforced with glass\, carbon or aramid fibers (continuous or discontinuous) and micro- and nano-metric particles. \nComposite materials combine light weight with high mechanical and functional performance through a simple principle: improving the properties of a matrix by adding reinforcing fibers or particles. \nComposites with continuous fibers represent excellent solutions for lightweight and strong structures\, while short fibers and particulate fillers have expanded the field of reinforced plastics\, capable of withstanding high loads and withstanding critical temperatures and environments. By varying the type and amount of reinforcement\, material properties can be modulated for specific applications.  \nThis course provides an overview of composite materials\, particularly those with a polymer matrix reinforced with glass\, carbon or aramid fibers (continuous or discontinuous) and micro- and nano-metric particles. It integrates theoretical moments and application elements\, illustrating the laws governing mechanical reinforcement and property modulation strategies\, along with the main processing technologies. Finally\, the most recent developments in the field\, oriented toward the use of new fibers\, matrices and sustainable solutions\, will be analyzed.   \nThe course will be held in the classroom at CSMT headquarters at 45 Branze Street in Brescia on July 21\, 2026 from 9:00 am for a duration of 8h. The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition of companies with specific interest in the topics at hand (testing machines\, measurement systems\, software for structure analysis\, FEM\, etc.).  \n\n\nAuthors who wish to submit their own work\, to be eventually included in the proceedings\, must complete their registration with payment of the fee no later than APRIL 30. This deadline for organizational reasons will not be extended.\nPapers for which registration has not been finalized by that date  will not  be included in the program.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAIAS membership is required to attend the conference. DESCRIPTION:The Lombard Mobility Cluster is pleased to sponsor the XXVII National Congress of the Italian Association of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (AIMETA).\n\nAIMETA\, founded in 1966\, brings together devotees of Mechanics in its various theoretical\, experimental\, technical\, and applied directions.\n\nThe XXVII biennial AIMETA congress\, organized by our associate University of Brescia\, will open Sept. 7 at Teatro Grande and continue at Palazzo Calini ai Fiumi with scientific sessions until Sept. 10\, 2026.
