DESCRIPTION:Effective June 1\, 2025 \, the AFTER SALES Working Group is established within the Business Development Table\, the operation of which is defined in Art. 12 of the Statute. \nCoordinator of the working group will be Dr. Alberto Metelli (CEO of Metelli SpA\, our associate)\, assisted as secretary by Eng. Francesco Braga\, WG Coordinator of the Cluster\, and will operate according to the guidelines defined by the Board of Directors.  \nAfter Sales is a key component of the mobility business in terms of product/service\, during and after warranty\, with a focus on building customer loyalty and optimizing the customer’s TCO-Total Cost of Ownership and the business volumes of vehicle manufacturers\, suppliers and service networks. \nInitial objectives of the working group: \n\nSurvey the current size of the after sales division.\nTo spread the culture and way of working in the supply chain\, starting with members already in the industry\, in collaboration with territorial and trade associations.\nProtect theoriginality and quality of spare parts.\nOn this basis\, assess the possible evolution of the industry\, with international projection\, in relation to:\n\nStructural reduction in “new” sales and growth in “used” sales;\nImproved quality and reliability of vehicles and components;\nImplementation of the 4Rs principle (Reduce\, Reuse\, Recycle\, Recover) throughout the entire vehicle life cycle;\nDeepen the relevance of the advent of new motorizations (electric\, hydrogen FC and ICE\, e-fuel and biofuels);\n\n\nSupport the training of professional resources for the maintenance of traditional and new products\, making use of new diagnostic and intervention tools.\nSeize funding opportunities at all levels of government\, local\, national and European.\nFoster the creation and development of partnerships\, both for current and project activities.\n\nCompanies and entities interested in participating in the new working group can signal their membership by June 10\, 2025 at: segreteria@clusterlombardomobilita.it \nThe first meeting of the Working Group will be held\, remotely\, on Monday\, June 16\, 2025 at 4 p.m. For registration: https://forms.gle/zsNFfFWUa6LWQugY9

DESCRIPTION:Conference organized by our member ASSOLOMBARDA on September 24\, 2025 at 1 p.m.\, at Pirelli‘s headquarters in Settimo Torinese (TO). \nThe automotive sector is going through a phase of profound transition. Recent data published by ANFIA (Associazione Nazionale Filiera Industria Automobilistica) show\, even at the beginning of 2025\, a significant slowdown in production in Italy: -25.3 percent overall\, with a 37 percent drop in the manufacture of motor vehicles and a 15.4 percent drop in the production of parts\, accessories and engines.  \nThese are signs that confirm the need for a strategic rethink to effectively accompany the sector along a path of technological\, industrial and environmental transformation.\nThe Automotive Action Plan\, presented by the European Commission on March 5\, is a first step in this direction\, but it still lacks concrete and timely measures\, as well as an organic strategy capable of strengthening the competitiveness of the European automotive industry\, aligning energy costs with those of its main global competitors and introducing long-term structural interventions. \nConfidential event\, by invitation only. DESCRIPTION:As part of the MOST SPOKE 7 “CCAM and Smart Infrastructure\,” on September 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with light lunch\, theUniversity of Brescia is organizing the Workshop INNOVATIVE MANAGEMENT OF BRIDGE SAFETY: STRUCTURAL AND VEHICLE TRAFFIC RISK\, at the Aula Magna of Economics\, Via San Faustino 74\, Brescia. \nBridges are among the most vulnerable elements of road networks\, as they are subject to stresses of various kinds that can cause damage that may require their closure or\, in the worst case\, cause their collapse. The inability of a bridge has a major impact on mobility\, increasing travel times\, congesting traffic and hindering the transport of goods. Among the main risk factors\, heavy traffic and structural deterioration pose a growing threat to bridge safety\, especially in settings with dated infrastructure and vehicular loads that often exceed design limits.   \nThe workshop will open with a framing of the infrastructure management activities conducted at the national level in MOST’s Spoke7 “CCAM and Smart Infrastructure\,” and then focus on the activities of the UniBS Working Group\, with the aim of developing an innovative method for real-time assessment and management of heavy traffic risk on bridges. The project integrates multidisciplinary expertise from transportation\, structural\, network and telecommunications engineering\, as well as statistical analysis and operations research tools.  \nThe monitoring system involves the use of Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) devices to measure the load of passing vehicles and sensors to analyze the structural response. A pilot bridge\, located along Brescia’s Tangenziale Sud\, one of the roads with the most heavy traffic in Italy\, has been instrumented to collect data useful for calibrating probabilistic risk models.\nThe proposed approach allows not only for real-time estimation of the risk induced by heavy traffic\, but also for simulation of heavy vehicle detour actions prior to transit over the monitored bridge. Algorithms to optimize alternative routes and maintenance strategies aimed at risk reduction for reinforced and prestressed concrete bridges are also provided.\nThe workshop will provide an opportunity for experts in the field to discuss innovative solutions for road infrastructure safety and management.   \nParticipation in the seminar is free of charge.
