SUMMARY:Mobility Innovation Tour 2025 - TURIN
DESCRIPTION:Operational challenges in managing large electric bus fleets\nTurin – Wednesday\, February 5\, 2025 – 10:30 a.m. Sassi Station (tramway Sassi – Superga) – GTT Conference Room – Piazza Gustavo Modena \nThe Mobility Innovation Tour back on track to talk about operational challenges in managing large electric bus fleets. The electric bus is now a well-established reality\, with market shares growing steadily and rapidly: in the first half of 2024\, e-buses reached 16 percent of sales in Europe\, and in Italy the share of new battery-powered city buses has well exceeded 30 percent. In several cities in Italy\, the numerical size of e-buses has reached the connotations of “fleets \,” and the time is therefore ripe for a comparison on the strategies adopted and the returns on experience\, in a continuous technological evolution that concerns both the vehicle and the facilities for recharging and overall energy management\, in a “systemic” perspective that increasingly depicts their added value right from the design stages. Turin and Genoa\, together with Bergamo\, represent for the sector national excellences with fleets of electric buses now substantial\, large planned investments\, and an experience gained over the years on rather heterogeneous operating contexts. This will be discussed with: \n\nSerena Lancione\, managing director of GTT-Torinese Transport Group\nLiliana Donato\, General Manager of ATB Bergamo\nFabio Gregorio\, Head of Service Innovation and LPT Technology\, AMT Genoa\nRiccardo Genova\, Professor of Electric Vehicles\, Hybrids and Sustainable Mobility – University of Genoa\nMiriam Sala\, ANFIA Area Studies and Statistics Manager\nTiziano Dotti\, Public Sales Manager Iveco Bus Italy\nSolaris\, TBD\n\nFree event\, open to the public. For the cluster\, our Development Advisor Ing. Piersandro Trevisan will participate.
