DESCRIPTION:NEW GEOPOLITICAL BALANCES AND GREEN TRANSITION: IS THIS THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA FOR COMMODITIES? \nThe foundry sector\, like the industrial world in general\, is facing an exceptionally challenging period.\nThe pandemic\, the energy crisis\, and geopolitical tensions that have escalated into real conflicts have made it increasingly complex to understand the present and imagine the future.\nAn environment that makes it very difficult\, among other things\, to decipher future prospects for raw materials. The invasion of Ukraine and the sanctions decided by the EU against Russia have brought the issue of security of supply back to the center of debate in a way that has not happened\, perhaps\, since the Cold War. On the other hand\, the path to ecological transition imposes the need to rethink habits and processes that have been established for decades\, to find the right trade-off between economic sustainability of production\, reduction of direct emissions\, and decarbonization of supply chains. \nSo what will be the raw materials of the future? Are we really at the dawn of a revolution? We should expect new tensions on\nsupply\, demand and prices? How should companies equip themselves to handle the new scenario?
